History:
Alec Hardison is a computer/Internet specialist and
hacker.If there is a computer to be decoded, a bug
to be planted, a car to be traced or an identity to
be created, Hardison is the man. He is a
self-proclaimed geek and science fiction fan, with a
dry, unusual wit, easy-going manner, and a
catch-phrase for every situation.
Like
Parker, he lost his parents early in life, spending
his childhood being brought up by his grandmother,
whom he frequently quotes and refers to as his
"Nana". Hardison is not as experienced as the rest
of the team in role-playing, but he quickly gets the
hang of it, especially when he gets to work with
Parker. He’s also not accustomed to the more
dangerous elements the team encounters. But when he
gets in front of a computer keyboard, the man’s a
miracle worker.
Hardison can hack
into most—if not all—forms of electronics and rarely
is caught. Hardison designed and assembled the
computer and television systems in the team's
headquarters, and is responsible for the electronic
applications used by the team on their cons (most
noticeable of which, the inner ear piece each member
of the team uses for long range communication). He
also is very attached to his electronics and shown
to become very depressed when the con takes a turn
for the worse and requires they destroy his
electronics to make their escape, as seen when they
blew up the original Leverage Consulting and Assoc.
